Now that you have found TheJazzConnection.net, where are you and what can you expect to find here? First, you are here because you like Jazz. I will tell you now the style of Jazz you will find here is not smooth and can be defined as Straight Ahead, Bebop and West Coast Jazz with an east coast flavor. The Jazz Connection started as a radio show on KPCC FM 89.3, Pasadena, Calif. After 7 years on the air The Jazz Connection showed up posting reviews of new CD’s on web sites such as CD baby and now it is in its newest iteration TheJazzConnection.net.
I do not critique these CDs I review them for you to know if it is worth your 15 bucks and you will learn to trust me on that. I only review artists I like and they are generally recognized as being the best, and I mean the best playing today.
In the near future we will add much more to this site including a once a week blog cast featuring ‘our’ artists like the 2 that are up now, Doug MacDonald and Lanny Morgan and a whole area for connections to record companies, venues, etc.
